Transformation and efficiency only occur when People are their engine, so it is necessary to meet how each one can, through his individual and particular characteristics, contribute to this change happening. Bearing in mind that efficiency only makes sense when freed resources are used to improve human and planet conditions.
Alberto Jorge Ferreira is an internationally renowned executive manager, who has led the transformation and renewal of companies in 14 countries and 4 continents, being an expert in the restructuring and digital transformation of organizations with the most different cultures and business realities.
Graduated in computer science from the Autonomous University of Lisbon, he began his professional activity more than 30 years ago in the Portuguese Navy. After his degree, he completed a Postgraduate degree in Project Management at the same institution and also executive training, taught by the Portuguese Catholic University, in the areas of “Digital Transformation” and “Management for Executives”. Since 2005 it has been certified as a Project Management Professional, awarded by the Project Management Institute.
In his career, he is highlighted by the passage in leadership and management positions in companies such as EDP, Logica CGI, OutSystems and Critical Software, among others, where he implemented strategies and action plans that helped consolidate and develop his commercial presence in many international markets, especially his passage through CGI, where he was responsible for transforming the operation throughout the Middle East. To date, Alberto has an impressive record of professional activity in more than 14 countries, from Portugal, Spain, Angola, Morocco, Indonesia, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Sweden, Norway, Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman and the United Arab Emirates.
Being passionate about the training and development of skills of other professionals, has interspersed his main professional activity with a regular presence in the teaching career, giving training in the areas of management, operations, business development, process transformation and delivery of services, in prestigious institutions of higher education, such as the Institute for the Development of Financial and Business Economic Studies , the Higher Institute of Management (ISEG), the Autonomous University of Lisbon (UAL), the Higher Institute of Management (ISG) or the Higher Institute of Languages and Administration (ISLA).
His recognized experience in the telecommunications, IT, finance, energy and utilities sectors, where he led startup creation, reengineering and business transformation processes, was the source of the invitation to take over as CEO of COMPTA, a leading company in Portugal in the IT sector with more than 40 years of history and credibility, a position he has accepted and held since February 2020.
With the integration of COMPTA into the FUTURE group in October 2020, Alberto now assumes the responsibility of leading the digital transformation of traditional engineering, with the creation of intelligent solutions that support the construction of a better, more sustainable and focused world on people’s needs.
