“Portugal has here an opportunity to gain a position of European reference in technological solutions, at an industrial and digital level, for the Circular Economy in critical sectors for which there are no solutions to meet the European targets for 2030!” said Tiago Andrade, Vice-President, Digital Products of FUTURE COMPTA, in the presentation of the proposal of the “CircularTECH” consortium, whose investment amounts to about 30 million euros.
FUTURE COMPTA, as lead promoter of the “CircularTECH” project, had the opportunity to present, on December 2nd, the agenda of its consortium. This aims to create a new industrial cluster for the development of innovative products and services that meet the specific challenges of the transition to a Circular Economy, particularly at the stage of closing the material cycles, ensuring a more sustainable waste management and directing them to new productive applications.
The consortium includes FUTURE COMPTA, 3DRIVERS, AMBIGROUP, DOMATICA, ECOAMBIENTE, LOURITEX, Sociedade Ponto Verde, YUNIT CONSULTING, MAIAMBIENTE, LIPOR, SMART WASTE PORTUGAL, INEGI, IST and IST-ID.
It should be noted that the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) aims to contribute to the increase of exports of goods and services and investment in R&D, as well as to reduce CO2 emissions, having received 144 applications with more than 1,700 entities involved.
