Portugal 2020 is the Partnership Agreement adopted between Portugal and the European Commission, which brings together the work of the 5 European Structural and Investment Funds – ERDF, Cohesion Fund, ESF, EAGF and EMFF – which define the programming principles that enshrine economic, social and territorial development policy to promote in Portugal between 2014 and 2020.

These programming principles are aligned with Smart, Sustainable and Inclusive Growth, pursuing the Europe 2020 strategy.

Project No. 21062 – Qualification and Innovation of SMEs
Individual project developed by Compta Business Solutions, S.A., financed in 199,081.80€ by the ERDF and 19,938.00€, under the Operational Program Competitiveness and Internationalization, contracted with the Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation, I.P. (IAPMEI), with a total eligible investment of 475,634.00€; and with an implementation period from 2016-09-01 to 2019-02-28.
This program aims to provide support for the creation and expansion of advanced product and service development capabilities.

This program aims to provide support for promotion and competitive qualification, introducing significant changes to the internal organization and the way of relationship with the outside world.

This program aims to strengthen research, technological development and innovation.
The “Waste to Value – A new waste management paradigm” project aims to develop a new solution for the management of selective collection of municipal solid waste that ensures a highly efficient process, with lower costs for the parties involved and, providing the change in the way it is currently managed, namely the transition from a process focused on “waste disposal” to a process totally focused on “waste recycling”.

Individual Project developed by Compta Business Solutions, S.A., funded at 674,335.36€ by the ERDF under the Competitiveness and Internationalization Operational Program, contracted with The Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation, I.P. (IAPMEI), with a total eligible investment of 936,036.12€; and with an implementation period from 2017-01-01 to 2018-12-31.
This program aims to strengthen research, technological development and innovation.
The project consists of the creation of a prototype of a tool that allows a continuous evaluation of the level of maturity of the implementation of various frameworks and STANDARDS of IT Governance.

Individual Project developed by BEE2FIRE, S.A., funded at 420,043.52€ by the ERDF under the Operational Program Competitiveness and Internationalization, contracted with The Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation, I.P. (IAPMEI), with a total eligible investment of 733,957.88€; and with an implementation period from 2019-06-01 to 2021-05-31.
This program aims to strengthen research, technological development and innovation.
The “Fire AI – Intelligent Forest Fire Detection Solution” project aims to develop an intelligent forest fire detection system that can combine two strands: the highly reliable detection of early stage fires, even under the most varied and adverse terrain, atmospheric and environmental conditions combined with an easy, simple and, mainly, low-cost implementation.
It is intended to develop a system that “simulates” a highly qualified human operator in image analysis, looking uninterruptedly at a screen transmitting continuous images, from multiple angles, of a forest of any dimension.

Project in co-promotion developed by Compta Business Solutions, S.A., together with Voiceinteraction S.A., Associação C.C.G./ZGDV – Centro de Computing graphics and University of Évora.
The total eligible investment of the project is 2,354,805.42€, of which 1,004,821.26€ belong to the leading company of the project – Compta Business Solutions.
This project, called AGATHA, was approved a total funding of 1,386,907.35€ by the ERDF under the Operational Programme Competitiveness and Internationalization, in the amount of 1,075,920.71€, and the Operational Program Competitiveness and Internationalization of Lisbon, in the amount of 310,986.64€; with the National Innovation Agency (ANI). The incentive amount attributed to the leading company was €646,532.54.
The implementation period is 2016-10-01 to 2019-11-30.
AGATHA aims to develop a tool, aimed at criminal investigation police and intelligence services, that facilitates the collection of evidence of criminal practice.

The total eligible investment of the project is 997,605.84€, of which 405,715.43€ belong to the leading company of the project – Prodfarmer, Lda.
This project, called SmartFarming, was approved a total funding of 715,927.30€ by the ERDF under the Operational Program Competitiveness and Internationalization; with the National Innovation Agency (ANI). The incentive amount attributed to the leading company was €279,984.37.
The implementation period is 2016-10-01 to 2018-09-30.
SmartFarming aims to obtain a disruptive agronomic management tool that will provide, on the one hand, the simplification of agricultural processes and, on the other hand, the optimization of them.
Project SAICT-POL/23577/2016 – R&D – Companies in co-promotion
Project in co-promotion developed by Compta Emerging Business, S.A., together with the Polytechnic Institute of Porto; INESC TEC – Institute of Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science.
The total eligible investment of the project is 134,713.61€, of which 29,451.38€ belong to the co-promoter – Compta Emerging Business, SA.
This project, called 3SLM – Intelligent System for the Management of Public Lighting, was approved a total funding of 111,561.43€ by the Directive Commission of the Northern Regional Operational Program, in the component financed by the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF), and by the Foundation for Science and Technology, I.P., in the component financed by the State Budget; with the Foundation for Science and Technology, I.P. The incentive amount attributed to the leading entity (Instituto Politécnico do Porto) was €75,395.75. The incentive amount allocated to Compta Emerging Business was €22,088.53.
The implementation period is 2017-08-10 to 2019-02-05.
3SLM aims to develop an intelligent energy management system in the form of a decision support system. It will integrate several data sources, in order to be able to identify and define how to act on different sources of energy consumption, in order to ensure its optimization and proper management. It will automate routine tasks and improve human decision-making. The goal is to provide a market solution that allows the reduction of energy costs and, on the other hand, a more efficient and correct management of equipment costs, maintaining the safety and comfort of drivers and pedestrians. Significant economic, environmental and social impacts are expected.
